You know I use to eat jelly until I found out this:-

    Q. Where does gelatin come from?
    A. The raw materials used in the production of gelatin are from healthy animals and include cattle bone, cattle hides and fresh, frozen pigskins. Protein obtained by boiling skin, tendons, ligaments, and/or bones with water. From cows and pigs.

Does that mean you’ve stopped eating ice cream too as most contains gelatin ? Too many good things contain gelatin.

    I just looked up Wikipedia:

“Gelatin may be used as a stabilizer, thickener, or texturizer in foods such as ice cream, jams, yogurt, cream cheese, and margarine; it is used, as well, in fat-reduced foods to simulate the mouth feel of fat and to create volume without adding calories.”

To be honest, after working in the food industry, you wouldnt eat anything if you knew all the facts. If you arent allergic to it then eat enjoy and be happy! My 1 year old son loves his jelly!

Both my husband and myself are allergic to seafood otherwise everything is on the menu! He’s diabetic but eats everything anyway – naughty boy.

Having said that. Mine arrived yesterday, a melon flavoured one, with a small recipe book full of good ideas.
